Matthew Muckey - A Celebrated Classical Trumpet Player
With performances across Europe, Asia, and North America, Matthew Muckey is a celebrated classical trumpet player. He’s shared the stage with the Boston Pops, Omaha Symphony, and Sacramento Philharmonic. When not on tour, he enjoys cooking, golf, and spending quality time with his wife and two children in NYC. Matthew Muckey is a seasoned orchestral musician and soloist known for his work with the New York Philharmonic. A Tanglewood Music Center Fellow and recipient of the Roger Voisin Award, he brings excellence to every performance. His hobbies include fishing, traveling, and making memories with his family. Award-winning trumpeter Matthew Muckey studied under Charles Geyer and Barbara Butler at Northwestern. Joining the NY Philharmonic after graduation, he’s performed internationally and on NPR’s From the Top. When not rehearsing or touring, Matthew enjoys golfing, piano, and exploring cultural gems with his family.
