Matthew Muckey - A World-Class Trumpet Player
A world-class trumpet player, Matthew Muckey has performed with the New York Philharmonic since 2006. He’s been featured on NPR, performed internationally, and was a Tanglewood Fellow for three summers. Known for his precision and artistry, he also enjoys golf, travel, and raising his two children in New York City. Matthew Muckey is associate principal trumpet of the New York Philharmonic, a position he earned directly after graduating from Northwestern University. He has performed as a soloist with numerous orchestras and was a recipient of the Roger Voisin Award. Outside music, Matthew values family time, fishing, and exploring the outdoors. At just 21, Matthew Muckey joined one of the world's most prestigious orchestras—the New York Philharmonic.
